Our Agency – African Heartland Journey – Volunteer Africa 32 South

Our tour in Chintsa was guided through African Heartland Journey,

which was founded in 2001 by Sean Price and Michael Denison.

With his Daughter

Sean and Mike’s enthusiasm and passion for South Africa’s environment, especially the rugged and remote coastline of the Wild Coast, the incredible diversity of our society and the powerful influence of nature on an individual’s well being is the driving force behind the company’s success.

The company has, over the past 6 years, worked very closely with Wild Coast communities, NGO’s and other tourism enterprises, playing an important role in development initiatives, training and supporting the establishment of community ventures.  More recently AHJ launched their Outreach and Volunteering department under the brand Volunteer Africa 32° south (VA32).

Volunteer Africa 32 South has been operating since 2004. Since starting they place international volunteers into high need community and conservation initiatives and provide opportunities to make a real difference. They provide volunteers and interns with inspiring and life-changing experiences, and at the same time helping them to deliver sustainable support to local South African communities and the environment.

On arrival, we were greeted by our tour guide, Denver Struwig
